Every now and again (mostly again whenever you can) it is nice to spend an extraordinary day and do whatever you want to.

Why not today?

Such a Peanut Brittle of a Fun Day today!
Mother would show me how to make her famous peanut brittle and other goodies if I scooted on over early this morning. I burnt a bowl while doing so. My parents thanked me for helping them to clear out cupboard space! We made peanut brittle (adding an extra cup of peanuts to my taste and I promptly hid that particular batch!) I helped dust powdered sugar on the cut-out red and green miniature cookies (cut out because I broke the cookie press... they tried to call Stan to see if he needed me back home!), and then I stirred the caramel to cover the pecan logs (pea-con not can...mind you!)

Meanwhile rolls were being made for an incredible dinner tonight. They made popcorn balls and meatballs and all kinds of treats. Then they made potatoes and chicken noodle gravy, glazed carrots and string beans to perfection and rolls and homemade raspberry jam and and hosted family for dinner and then they had a Temple presentation to give. But first, a game of Quiddler (word game) for grandma and me and a soccer game for Grandpa and Ashley in between Ashley's finals.

What a fun, relaxed, wonderful day...right in the middle of busy!
I have only one thing to say after such a day.

What are we doing tomorrow?!!!

I wish I could just happen over like that! How fun! I love how Grandma and Grandpa make you feel like anything you did was for a reason (empty up room in the cuboards). I love them.
