Grandma time...

What does a grandma do when she is handed the gift of a week with four princesses?

We go through grandmas suitcase and dress up in her funny clothes and giggle. We string things and bake things and talk about things. We get out the paper and scissors and glue and we play games and we have fun! We read lots of stories and make up our own and we hardly have time to brush our teeth or do our homework... and so we just laugh and watch Anne of Avonlea and then we start all over again...(and if it weren't for missing grandpa so much that the grandma could barely breathe...then she would never leave).

... the days go sliding by like butter in sun or crayons in a car window and then grandma packs her funny clothes and she sneaks out the door before anyone wakes up, so she won't drip tears off her chin again. And all the way home inbetween thoughts of the grandpa hugs waiting, and Ashley and her adorable puppy at home, are JOY THOUGHTS about how important family is and how thankful she is for Bruce and Elisa and the beautiful spirit in their home. And her mind goes through each of her childrens' homes, each one, one by one, (for it is a long long drive you know) and those thoughts are called: PURE JOY! Thank You! Just Thank you!
