Art hasn't changed.
Songs didn't change.
Building hasn't changed.
Snowflakes haven't changed.
Butterflies haven't changed. Not color, nor ideas, nor dreams, nor miracles...
Then Why did we?
Did we start looking around to see who was in front of us or behind us? Did we listen to them?
Then we must Stop that!...RIGHT NOW! ..because we know better than that!
We must look up again... and feel loved...
right where we are at.
Then perhaps, we will begin seeing again.

Seriously. I was just thinking this the other day. Why do we do that to ourselves? Ok, I am off to try out for American Idol! :) I love you!
I did not realize that your happy kitchen words were a scripture and not a poem!!!
I love that blessings come
Packed down like brown sugar...
Settled by shaking so that more
can pour in...
Running over because He loves us!
Thank you!
Elisa, you are adorable! I added the scripture reference.
It is all about not judging...I think it includes ourselves. Anyway, from Heaven's point of view I would imagine that American idol is a waste. All about money, advertising, glitz, etc. and many go from there, feeling ungifted I would think?!
So stay home and do what really counts...sing lullabys and Farmer in the Dell. The point being to express our happiness and not care what others think...just care what Heaven thinks. Like the Brasilian people who sing hymns way loud whether they carry a tune or not! They are praising something more than themselves and like a child they have great joy in that.
I love that we don't have to judge others or ourselves as one is better or one is worse. That way we can all participate and love the things others do and the things we do. The 'Giving' in the scripture is the key.
Sometimes, we are even afraid to take in a meal to someone who needs to eat...because the plate is not pretty enough or we think they cook better. Stuff sorta like that, I think?! Kinda fun to think about. GO FORTH! 'SING OUT LOUD...don't worry if it's pretty enough for someone else to hear...Just SING! SING OUTLOUD'! now, remember that this is written by someone who pantomimes in church so they won't give up congregational singing!!! ;)
Hello, thank you so much for your message in my blog! I am from a city called Goiania in Brasil and it's 3 hours from the Capital. Me and my family lived in Utah for almost 7 years. My husband is Brasilian and American too, and he was studding at BYU. Right now we live in FL and we are loving to live here. It's a new experience! I really liked your blog and what you wrote about what we stop doing when we grown up. I think we get life very seriously as we grow up and forget the essence in being happy with the simple things that was fun when we were a child. I watch my kids and hope that they never grow up! It's that possible?! I don't think so... But, at list I am trying to enjoy them now, before they live our home... Sorry if my English is not good... I am still learning! Nice to meet you here in the blog!
Daniel's painting is AWESOME!!!!!
How big is it and where do you keep it?
